New Lvov, Khislav...

The Federation of Khislav's Bureau of Finance posts it's treasury projections for the next month, but aside from a few minor rumblings and news of expansion, the capital remains quiet as the final units of soldiers trained in the recently raised army head to their garrison quarters for the coming month. The other two combined arms forces secure the northwest and eastern boundaries of the new Federation.

-------------------

NEXT TURN MOVES
Treasury: 11 gold

Armies: -3 gold
Expanding: 371 (-2 gold), 373 (-3 gold)

Final Treasury: 3 gold

OOC. So I hold nine territories after losing one to France; one has a G so I generate 12 gold. I loose two to maintain my armies.

"Raise the Call, the oldest son of every family shall form a new army in our homelands defense. We have little time to train and arm them but it must be done by the will of Allah. I'm also commissioning the finalization of our air force."

The Grand Caliphate of New Kaaba Raises two new armies.

(actually, reading the rules, it just means I won the battle. I've opted not to actually take that territory as I wanted to save my 2g for turn 4. you still have 234.)

With the outbreak of war, Admiral Freenheart grows weary of the welfare of Poseidon's Domain. And trains 1 Army. "It is my duty to watch our prospering nation, and make sure we are not destroyed by any who wish us harm"

(0 from last turn, +10 for territories + Capital, -2 for Upkeep for 2 existing armies. -5 For new army, leaving me at 3g)

5 * 1.2, 6 * 1.5, 2 * 1.3, 6 * 1.5, 2 * 1.4, 2 * 1.2. <-- Side A
6 * 1.1, 2 * 1.1, 5 * 1.2. <-- Side B
31.8 vs. 14.8
Side A wins!

Calculating my gold:
From territories, I receive 6g from empty tiles, 2g from capital, 2g from gold mine in my Non-conquered territories.
I receive 2g from the japanese gold mine and 0g from the rubber.
total money this turn: 12g.

I do not spend this money on anything yet; let's wait to see how the various attacks are doing.

Says here you start with 4g, generate 11gpt. That puts you at 15g, does it not?
...
Wait.
YOU were the mysterious benefactor who paid 4g to the Kaiser's armies!
The Chairman leapt in surprise, discovering hidden deals not by stealthily placed agents or by manipulative talk, but by simply reading endlessly over the Tax sheets.

Roight, Now I know what's cookin'.

you won the battle last turn.
Any spare gold you had at the end of last turn can be used.
But gold you earn this turn cannot be used on that battle, so says kob1ld.
That means I can't spend my recently acquired 12g on grabbing any land.
I'm busily thinking what to do with it.

All right. Now what to do militarily.
The chairman pondered. He'd just barely been able to take the gold mine before his coffers wore out.
The chairman stood, staring at the Capital of Japan.
Watching over his tax sheets, he knew the Caliphate's funds were exhausted.
Even if New Kaaba was to break down the walls of his Capitol, they could never afford a police force by the time the month was out.
He sighed heavily, but the capitol can rebuild.
Japan, he thought, could not.

"The People's Army is ready to attack, Chairman!" reported Generals Bu and Pan. "2 regiments of the finest infantry, marched straight from the Colonies. Thank god the 'mercs cut a path through the wilderness; we'd never have found you if not for them."
The Chairman saluted the mercenaries.
"Chairman, your orders?"
The Chairman thought for a moment. If the Caliphate had a massive army that would be near-impossible to beat, but the Caliphate couldn't actually DO anything if he won...

Everyone into Japan. Keep the tax from the colonies close at hand; we may yet win this day.

(weird. let's see if it works for me.)

The French armies launch their offensive northward into 230 after checking 234 for any threats to the flank of their march. Although a broad match for the Caliph's armies, morale is still high in the First and Second armies due to promised assistance.

(attacking with 2 armies using a 0.2 (0.3 if gold counts) modifier, waiting for supporting rolls.)
