Creepy-Ass Who's Online Button

Just noticed the "who's online" button on the main page. Nifty! (perhaps creepy?)

Right now, there is someone near Wichita, KS, someone near Youngstown, OH, someone near Seattle, WA, someone near Arlington, VA, and someone near Sacramento, CA (me).

Woah that is a bit creepy.

Also, Detroit, MI and San Jose, CA (this one is googlebot)

the who's online map is pretty freaky, especially since it lists user names for each location.
Granted, it's kinda off for my location but that doesn't make it any less disturbing

I think it is basically only mapping your ISP's address.

yeah, I figured, but since I use a wireless broadband connection it must be picking up one of the cell companies centers because it's off by a couple states

Yeah, I didn't even know this was here. lol

I'll be more than happy to see if I can turn it off if you want. Not completely sure I can, though.
